Vivekananda Kendra, a spiritually oriented Service Mission, is a Voluntary organization, in service of humanity on the ideals of Swami Vivekananda through Man-making and Nation-Building projects in the fields of Education, Culture and Sustainable Development, and over 250 branch centers located across India.
Vivekananda Kendra runs 34 CBSE-affiliated English medium schools, under one of its Education projects, “Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas Arunachal Pradesh Trust” (VKVAPT), in the north-eastern Himalayan state of Arunachal Pradesh. These schools are known as “Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas” (VKV), and have their presence in 14 out of 16 districts of the state. Many of these have residential hostel-facilities for boys and girls separately. Some of the schools are up to Higher Secondary level. Government of Arunachal Pradesh provides grant-in-aid to run them. VKVs have been recognised by the people of Arunachal Pradesh as one of the most reputed and sought-after educational institutions of the state, providing Quality-education to the masses. VKVAPT invites application for the post of residential teachers in the VKVs of Arunachal Pradesh. Apart from perquisite educational qualifications, the organisation seeks in the candidates a zeal for social service and serving the motherland in its north-eastern Himalayan corner. (Graduates/PG in English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Economics, and Physical Education (or any), preferred with a B.Ed degree)
The Scale of payment is almost as per Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh (After probation period*).
All teachers are provided Bachelor - Accommodation, free of cost, in teachers’ quarters located within the school campus.

* After the successful completion of probation period along with successful completion of the Training camp of 25 Days at Kanyakumari, the teachers are absorbed in the set-up on permanent basis regular service with salary-structure applicable almost as per the norms of Government of Arunachal Pradesh. Regular teachers also enjoy the Life-long Social Security benefits like Employees Provident Fund (EPF) & Gratuity.
